Swinerton Management & Consulting Sparkles At SMPS Topaz Awards

Currently celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) San Francisco Bay Area Chapter held its first annual Topaz Awards, formerly known as the Founders Awards, on June 23. SMPS is the only professional association for architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) marketers and has nearly 60 chapters throughout the United States and Canada. Many Swinerton marketers are members of their local chapters, including four currently on the Bay Area Chapter’s Board of Directors. During the awards night, many AEC marketers were recognized for their achievements and contributions to the industry. In addition to personal achievement awards, several local firms were also presented with excellence in marketing and communication awards.

Myrna Wagner Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

The crown jewel of the night was Swinerton’s own Myrna Wagner, FSMPS, CPSM (Vice President, Business Development), who was presented with the William B. Hankinson Lifetime Achievement Award, the most prestigious award the chapter bestows upon its members. The purpose is to recognize a senior marketer’s excellence in marketing and SMPS during their career. Myrna has over 30 years of experience in business development and marketing and has been an active and passionate SMPS member. She’s been a Committee Member, Committee Chair, President-Elect, and Chapter President and is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM). She was additionally recognized as a Fellow in 2018. Anyone who has worked with Myrna will agree that any recognition and praise she receives for her commitment and contributions are well deserved. With her 20-plus years of dedicated service at Swinerton and proactive involvement in the AEC industry, Myrna is a treasured asset.
