La Clinica’s vision was to bring a wide variety of healthcare services together in a single facility, and provide high-quality services to a vibrant yet under-served community.  Swinerton Management helped make this dream a reality, working closely with La Clinica to represent their interests, and interfacing with a diverse project team including the City of Oakland, Unity Council, and Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART).  

Swinerton provided project and construction management services that included management of the design phase and oversight of all construction activities, including separate core and shell and tenant improvements projects. 

The three-story facility today serves as an anchor within the Fruitvale Transit Village, providing affordable healthcare services to the East Oakland community.  The Transit Village is an innovative mixed-use development that includes a library, senior center, daycare, retail office space and housing in addition to La Clinica.
