Monarch Beach Resort

Dana Point, CA

A neighboring development by Lyon Properties experienced a landslide several years earlier in which one of four 30-unitluxury apartment buildings slid down the hillside. This project was the hillside stabilization and reconstruction of the lost apartment building.

The Lyon development bordered the 7th hole of the Resorts’ golf course. Stabilization work and construction had to occur without disrupting the guest experience and golf tournament schedule at this world class resort and golf course. While the actual work was confined to the Lyon property and the easement granted for the storm water system accessible only through the actual golf course, scheduling the work had to be coordinated with the very active tournament schedule and tee times for the guests of the Resort and members of the golf club.

As an Owner Representative, responsibilities included site visits with the client, progress status updates, contract review and analysis, attending site meetings with project team, verification of work in place, and mitigation of guest disturbances.
