Swinerton Management & Consulting’s (SMC) 200 Linden Avenue project, now aptly named The Linden, completed framing on the roof and held a “COVID-Conscious” roof-topping off event July 23rd, 2020. The roofing membrane is expected to be complete within the following week, which will allow great strides on the interior. Pre-sales are anticipated to commence this October with furnished model homes available to tour.
The Linden features a collection of 97 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes in the heart of downtown South San Francisco, located just one block from Grand Avenue and a short walk or bike ride to the new Caltrain station, via a new bike and pedestrian pathway, all currently under construction. This 8-story mixed-use project also includes ground-floor retail, 3 stories of parking, and 20% affordable housing. Built on a tight urban site, The Linden is the only for-sale housing development in South San Francisco’s Downtown Area Specific Plan.
SMC has been involved with The Linden project since the entitlement phase in 2016. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in November 2018. SMC has provided construction management and supported the owner in many challenges included the removal of hot soils, PG&E underground delays caused by the wildfires and most recently the outbreak of COVID-19. We expect to have substantial completion by January of 2021.
