The Linden has completed construction in South San Francisco and has already sold over half of their units. Together with their partners, City officials, and tenants, The Linden team held an intimate outdoor grand opening celebration on their landscaped courtyard with a double-sided fireplace. The open-air space also includes water features, grilling stations, dining tables and chairs, and is adjacent to the party-ready community lounge.
The Linden features a collection of 97 one-, two- and three-bedroom homes in the heart of downtown South San Francisco, located just one block from Grand Avenue and a short walk or bike ride to the new Caltrain station, via a new bike and pedestrian pathway, all currently under construction. This 8-story mixed-use project also includes ground-floor retail, 3 stories of parking, and 20% affordable housing. Built on a tight urban site, The Linden is the only for-sale housing development in South San Francisco’s Downtown Area Specific Plan.
SMC has been involved with The Linden project since the entitlement phase in 2016. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in November 2018. SMC has provided construction management and supported the owner in many challenges included the removal of hot soils, PG&E underground delays caused by the wildfires and most recently the outbreak of COVID-19.
