Swinerton Management & Consulting (SMC) is proud to share that it received the 2021 Construction Management Firm of the Year by the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) San Diego Chapter at the annual awards banquet.
The prestigious award is given annually to an industry-leading firm that has made significant contributions on behalf of the construction management (CM) industry. The chapter’s selection committee evaluates several factors including construction management innovation, chapter involvement, business accomplishments, and community outreach.
“Swinerton has continued to support the CMAA-San Diego Chapter by facilitating the training and certification of local Certified Construction Managers (CCMs) and their internal staff and by participating on the chapter’s board, while delivering exceptional projects across multiple sectors of the San Diego region,” said Joe Webber, CMAA-San Diego Chapter President.
Project Executive Scott Kube received the award on behalf of Swinerton. Scott has been a board member of the local CMAA chapter for ten years. As a board member, he develops CCM workshops and application processes, arranges mentorships and education assistance for new applicants, facilitates and leads seminars, and is a mentor to Construction Manager in Trainings (CMITs) and college students. During his tenure, Scott has mentored over 40 professionals, helping each applicant pass their examination to be CCM.
“It has been an honor to serve as a Board Member and a mentor for architects, engineers, and construction/general contractor professionals, as they develop their experience required to earn the prestigious certification as Certified Construction Manager (CCM). I have taken great pride in representing Swinerton and the chapter.”
The commitment and passion that SMC and Scott have demonstrated in the San Diego market have earned Swinerton the wonderful recognition of CM Firm of the Year. Congratulations to all the team members that are the face of Swinerton in the office, field, and within our communities.
